Jura’s whisky distillery was established in 1810 and reborn in 1963 to bring life back to the island and the community. Their dedication, enhanced by a very distinct micro-climate, results in unique whiskies that are smooth, bright and lively, just like the tiny island community who make them.
BOOK TICKETSEstablished in 2017 on an historic steading, Torabhaig is a small, traditional distillery on the Isle of Skye. A single malt from well-tempered peat, crafted by a team of 9 with a strong sense of independence, innovation and pride.
BOOK NOWThe Isle of Raasay is known for its breath-taking natural beauty, exaggerated landscapes, impressive geology, and an incredibly diverse ecosystem. Every drop of spirit is distilled, matured and bottled on the island using water from the Raasay Distillery well, maximising the influence of the island on the spirit, and the distillery on the island.
The oldest working distillery on the Isle of Skye, at Talisker you will experience the beautiful landscape and the intense and powerful flavours of Talisker, a whisky as wild,
raw and yet refined as the island itself.
On the shores of East Loch Tarbert lies the Isle of Harris Distillery. The future of their community is at the heart of everything they do as their local staff distil world class spirits and offer the very best of Island hospitality.

TO JURA
Beginning your adventure from the central belt take junction 30 on the M8 to exit for the Erskine Bridge→M898 →A898, pick up on the A82 and continue. Turn onto the A83 at Arrochar, breathe in the scenery and follow this all the way to Kennacraig. Take the Kennacraig Ferry – Port Askaig Ferry. Take the Port Askaig Ferry – Feolin Ferry. Continue along the A846 for about 8 miles, the distillery will be on your left.

TO TORABHAIG DISTILLERY
Retrace from Jura Distillery to Lochgilphead. Turn onto the A816 and follow the exhilarating coastal road up to Oban and then on towards Fort William. Go through to Mallaig and take a short ferry journey to Armadale. Follow the A851 main road out of the ferry port, towards Broadford for 4 miles. Torabhaig is the first turning to the right, shortly after you pass the old church on your right. See route on Google Maps | See Ferry Timetables on Calmac
TO RAASAY DISTILLERY
Leaving Torabhaig Distillery, turn right onto the A851, continue to the junction. Turn left onto the A87 and continue towards Sconser. Take the Sconser-Raasay Ferry. The distillery is a short distance away and clearly signed at the ferry. See route on Google Maps | See Ferry Timetables on Calmac
TO TALISKER DISTILLERY
Retrace from Raasay Distillery to Sconser and turn right onto the A87. Continue to the junction at Sligachan and turn left onto the A863. Follow about 5 miles, then look for a minor road - Talisker Distillery is signed at the junction. See route on Google Maps
TO HARRIS DISTILLERY
Leaving Talisker Distillery, return to the A863 and turn left heading for Dunvegan. At the Dunvegan Hotel turn right onto the A850, signposted Portree. Continue on the A850 and turn left onto the A87 heading for Uig, after the village of Skeabost. Take the Uig-Tarbert Ferry. Upon disembarking, Harris Distillery will be a short distance ahead. By FOOT
Scotland has an abundance of long distance and short distance walks, for the independent traveller looking for the road less travelled. Incorporating walking paths such as the Hebridean Way, The Cowal Way or sections of the West Highland Way with the various public transport options by bus, train and ferry will get you to the heart of the Hebridean Whisky Trail.
By BIKE
For those with a love of cycling and cycling challenges, like the Caledonian Way or the Hebridean Way, the Hebridean Whisky Trail dovetails perfectly with these routes, what better reward for the seasoned cyclist than a distillery visit along the journey.
By air
Direct flights from the major Scottish airports are operated by Loganair into Stornoway and Islay Airports. Find out more
By SEA
By sea, the Trail can be charted clockwise or anti-clockwise through the Hebrides. Sea-farers can set sail from any of the distilleries, and marinas with visitor moorings are available on each island.
